ARCHistory
ARCHistory is an association of art historians specializing in architecture and heritage. Founded in 2001 under the name Association pour l’Étude du Bâti (APEB), the non-profit organization is based in Brussels. Its expertise spans a wide range of activities, from conducting research to raising public awareness: historical studies of buildings, exhibitions, publications, inventories, guided tours and lectures.
Examples of its projects include historical studies on prestigious houses on the Grand-Place (La Louve, Le Cornet and Le Renard), the creation of exhibitions on the artist Privat Livemont and the architect Jean Delhaye and the organization of numerous guided tours, notably at Schaerbeek’s Town Hall, Maison Autrique, Hôtel van Eetvelde and Maison Hannon.
