The story of a building is written in its use.

Our Story

At the heart of Schaerbeek, La Lustrerie is more than a business center. Once a lighting factory, it now lights the way for new projects, bridging the neighborhood’s industrial past with the future of creative entrepreneurship. Born from the vision of Mission Locale and ILES asbl, and supported by the "Pavillon" Sustainable Neighborhood Contract (1997–2001), the municipality transformed it into a vibrant space. Since 2006, La Lustrerie has been a hub of creativity and social engagement for entrepreneurship, symbolizing urban revitalization where past and future come together to create new opportunities.

"Above all, it is a place where people, ideas, and opportunities come together to grow."
Christelle

At La Lustrerie, our dream team—and our residents—are at the heart of everything we do: Christelle guides us with big-picture thinking, Artiola fills the building with warmth and a smile, Ali is always ready to tackle any technical challenge, the Board steers the journey with care and commitment and last but not least, of course, our residents bring creativity, energy, and collaboration that make La Lustrerie truly alive.

The Board : La Lustrerie is a cooperative company with limited liability created in 2003.
