AgwA Architects is a Brussels-based practice, founded in 2003, with an active presence both in Belgium and internationally. The firm is distinguished by a critically engaged and sustainable approach to architecture, prioritizing the adaptive reuse of existing structures and the creation of dynamic, mixed-use environments. Drawing on a truly multidisciplinary team, AgwA operates across scales, seamlessly weaving together urban, landscape, and technical considerations into each project. Their work has been showcased at BOZAR and consistently celebrated in leading architectural publications. Notably, their Chapex project, developed in collaboration with Architecten Jan De Vylder Inge Vinck, has received significant recognition: it was shortlisted for the European Prize for Urban Public Space and, more recently, awarded the Brussels Architecture Prize in the “Extra Muros” category, highlighting AgwA’s capacity to transform ordinary sites into vibrant, catalytic urban environments.
